This project was a challenge for many. We had to create a 3D sculpture
with a three dollar or below budget. I work in a hardware store and
the first thing that came to mind for this project was paint chips. I love
pink, red, purple, and maroon. those are some of my favorite colors and
thus that is what color I used to create my main project. I used aqua as my test run, but the warm colors are what I used for my final project. I cut some of the paint chips apart into squares and others into strips which I wove together to make the "lantern-esk" shaped thing to the left. I created a tile as well with the paint chip squares but I wasn't as pleased with the result. I really liked how the lanterns I created stood up by themselves and had very smooth lines. The paint chips worked really well and I love the subtle variation of color throughout.
