This is the finished product! After many re-starts, changed projects and a lot of complaining my perspective project is finished!
Before we learned how to do perspective art, I had no idea how to make objects look realistic. Throughout this unit, I have learned how to show correct proportions and how to make objects look like they are disappearing off into the distance. Also with the canoe, I had no idea how to make the boat look curved so it would have depth. I looked online and also asked Ms. Rossi, my teacher, how I should go about this and I learned how to curve my lines to create the illusion of depth in the boat.
Before this unit I had never used colored pencils before and I have never been very comfortable with drawing. This assignment really pushed my comfort zone because before this, I had very little experience with colored pencils. Overall I am please with the growth I have seen over the period of a few weeks working with this medium.
My art work is unique because I used a picture I took on my own as inspiration for my piece. The picture I took is one of a kind because I took it myself instead of pulling a picture off the internet to draw. Throughout my artistic process, I realize I like to blend colors and use bright colors in my art work which helps create my own personal style. I love color and I believe that color is going to be a huge aspect in my artwork in the future. Overall I am pleased with my final project but I am very pleased with the growth I have shown throughout this process!
